On Rap

 

With few exceptions, rap was always about muscular black guys with low voices, pretending to be gangsters and shouting insults into public.

Not my thing.

May be that is because I am not a bitch (that is not a female).

As a male person I do not find rap artists attractive. I do not find their music appealing either.

Petite Japanese and other Asians with high pitched soft voices appeal to men a lot more.

That message explains you how the world works in just a few simple lines.

Women gone black (African type black, not just any dark-skinned person such as Arab or Indian)

Men gone Asian

On Pop Music

Pop music does not have intelligent lyrics; they are the most baseline of all possibly lyrics so dumb that even the most complete idiot can understand them. Sometimes they just repeat the same word over and over again and call it a song, like "baby, baby" something.

In contrast rock and metal often does have something for above average intelligence. Some of it is growl of course, but far from all of it. Also, even songs with growl can have intelligent lyrics.

Pop works because most people do not think of anything beyond sex and pop appeals to that kind of thinking by singing about "love" so that horny little girls could relate. Horny little girls buy albums and posters of their fav artist, bringing the producers lots of revenue. Girls listen to that drivel, believing being like that artists would make them popular too, that allows fashion industry, cosmetics and so on take part in that megaprofit train as well. Pop artists would wear something new in every music video and all these girls would starve themselves to buy this ludicrously overpriced item in some boutique store.

What horny little girls do not realize is that most other fans of pop artists are other little horny girls and most men do not care for that stuff. Of course there are also male simps, who do not think with their heads and instead just listen to some pretty girl. However, idiots like that would eat raw cactus if a girl said it will make them sexy or something.

In contrast we, metal fans, listen to real music, while lamenting the infinity of human idiotism.

Chris de Burgh

I think some of Chirs de Burgh really reflect well on personality. Just as the man himself a fellow Libra with 15 of October DoB

He has sophistication, culture, civility and fanciness. The kind that I like. I think I am similar to him in many ways.

And some songs.

When melancholy strikes (for those who do not know what melancholy is, that is), though I prefer to draw my sorrows in music and anime rather than vodka:

When in love, though I prefer to call them slave girls and for them to wear all black rather than red. Reference my demon girl pictures.

Now this is the most important one, the Revolution.

I, him and Lelouch do not fight for social justice and other woke shit, we fight to take back what was stolen from us. I reckon that was a lot.

Finally, this, there is a little bit of everything in this song.

Good Classical Music, that I Like

 Classical music is often associated with past and tradition. Many listen to it for this attribute, to show their admiration for the past. Others consider classical music to be boring and listen to no less boring pop, that near forgoes music for physical attraction of singers instead. Jewish song Leena from Palestina satirizes that perfectly.

While a lot of classical music is indeed boring, far not all of it is. There are some truly epic songs that can beat the score of Star Wars or Lord of the Rings.

One of my favorites is Dance Macabre by Camille Saint-Saens. Dance of Death is cunning and eerie. It begins slow as if death stalks someone and then suddenly erupts in a fast-paced action. Parts of it sounds like it's played on bones. 

In the Hall of the Mountain King by Edward Grieg takes epicenes on the new level. It's both accessible and easy to listen but no less epic than Lord of the Rings soundtrack. It does starts slow but then develops very fast.

Edward Grieg even made a song for trolls, fantasy rather than internet kind, however it can be applied to internet ones as well. Its fast, melodic and very catchy even. It's called March of the Trolls

Edward Grieg also has some more calm songs that nonetheless has depth to them, for example Lyric Piece No 47 - Melodie. It sounds mysterious and eerie despite such unimaginative name. It's very thoughts provoking.

Now the big names. J.S.Bach has many songs, and many are plain but not the window shattering Toccata and Fugue. This song beats whatever Davy Jones was playing in second Pirates of the Caribbean by a mile.

Then there is also peaceful and airy dreamy and mysterious Concerto de Aranjuez. This rather slow song can make you will good and dreamy and think deep thoughts.

Charles Gounod's Ave Maria - this is a very warm and calm song, that can make you feel loved and cared for. It's also mysterious and thoughts provoking. Here are two versions, a piano one above and violin one below.

Thus Spoke Zarathustra - This song references Nietzsche's famous book and is not less mysterious and deep. It's perfect for a grand opening of an occult ceremony to either redeem or plunge the world into chaos.

Los Toreadores - fast and brisque song, that evoke memories of Spanish flamenco and corrida, that is referenced by this song. 

Hungarian Rhapsody - this song takes eeriness and mystery to a new level. It has sounds that you hardly hear in any other songs, either classical or otherwise. Not even futuristic techno has them. Here is plano version, but full orchestra one is better.

Tomaso Albinoni - Adagio. This song encourages you to think eternal questions, such as philosophy and metaphysics. It's both airy like Concerto de Aranjuez and mysterious. 

Zamfir's Ave Maria - This is a different take on Ave Maria. This song uses a rather rare pan flute that gives it a very unique and mysterious sound. There is just nothing like it.

There are more good classical pieces, but I will end this article on just these. Search deeper and you find many good songs.

On Pop Music and Europop

 

I do listen to some pop music.

However, something like Back Street Boys do not appeal to me. Neither is Spice Girls, in fact Spice Girls are probably even worse. They are not hot or whatever.

I prefer Europop such as Aqua or Vengaboys. I think it is more upbeat and entertaining compared to many English or Russian Language singers. There are some exceptions to that rule as well as I like some songs by Kylie Minogue and Madonna. 

First is Vengaboys - We Like to Party Nice easygoing melody from a band that does not take itself too seriously.

Paradisio has just one album, but it has several good songs in them. Here is one of them, called Bailando

Madonna has a few good songs. Here is La Isla Bonita, that has nice Latin American feel to it.

I also like her Beautiful Stranger; it appeals to my ego to have a girl completely on the ropes.

Modern Talking have nice sound and melody.

The unparallel Danish band Aqua. The most unapologetically uwu band of them all. 

Barbie Girl song is about girl who is like a doll and can be anything a man wants her to be. I like that in a woman. Sure, they are doing it somewhat ironically, but still.

However, when it comes to irony, then Perfect Exceeder surely satirizes pop music industry like nothing else.

Judas Priest

Judas Priest is one of the good classical metal bands. Painkiller is a good example of the sound of that beloved genre of music. Edgy and angsty, yet still melodic enough and pleasant to hear.

Epicness of Umineko no Naku Koro ni OST

 A made a separate post about sad songs from Umineko no Naku Koro ni. However, Umineko more than just sad songs. In fact, it has one of the most epic OSTs out there. There is just nothing like it.

Here some of the most epic songs from Umineko no Naku Koro ni

World End Dominator and Executioner are like two twins of epic music. World End Dominator is all round cool, epic and sophisticated. Executioner 

Executioner - Also known as Berncastel Theme is a clearly an evil twin of the two. However, it is very sophisticated, not just evil. Listening to Executioner makes you want to commit massacres and laugh. (You can't spell slaughter without laughter)

Kuro no Liliana is more calm but no less epic. I guess it can play when lead my slave girls on a leash as they crawl behind me on all fours.

Golden slaughterer - This final piece is somewhat raw, but it is also epic. It has a slow start to build anticipation, before it unleashes the full might of its sound.

Fake Red Shoes - This is somewhat different take on epicness. It has fast-paced dynamics as well as intriguing twist together with signature Umineko sophistication.

Also, this song, unfortunately the name is in Japanese. The pipe organ and clavichord phantasmagoria. 

However, this is just a tip of the iceberg. Umineko has so many good songs, it will take forever to just list them all, much less to write something about them. So, explore them on your own.

Music of Diablo II

 I mentioned Diablo II in my previous post in this blog.

I want to make a separate post, dedicated to just this game. Aside from subtle but very fitting story and music, that helps building atmosphere and immersion, Diablo II also has good gameplay.

Nice 7 classes that you actually want to play as. Powerful abilities you want to use.

They actually ruined it in Diablo III. For example, they replaced Necromancer with Which Doctor. However, a cool vampiric goth/emo necromancer who has domain over death itself, cannot possibly be replaced with some swampy voodoo dude who only has domain over some frogs and mosquitos.

I mean who would want to be lord of the frogs when you can be lord of death. That fact is a lot more important that a few conveniences that DIII possibly introduced. Eventually they even brought Necromancer back, but DIII Necro seem lacking some of the majesty of his DII version. 

Necromancer is undisputed lord of death: even dead people rise from the grave to bow down to his will and serve him. That is the kind of character I want to play. I will make even dead bow to my will.

On the other hand, Full Plate and Crown geared Barbarian has really mighty rich look of a fantasy King... I can always have several chars at the same time.

I hope there is some sequel for other acts as well. Barb is not that popular, alas.

Also, there is a fun parody cartoon, based on this game, made by Carbot. Comedy at its finest

Nightcore

 Night core is a simple idea, that slightly increasing the speed, at which music is played can contribute towards new and better sound. Despite its gimmick-ness, it does work for some songs and make them better.

For example, this Nightcore track, called Butterfly. It is very cute and fluffy. It also has good lyrics, I rarely like lyrics in songs, but this one is exception.

 

There are more Nightcore songs that I like, for example I am Good. It is a remake of the original I am Blue with mostly the same melody but with different lyrics. I like these lyrics. I like girls who do not want to control their lives and would rather just flow to where the current takes them. I would take control of such girls and take them where I want them to take and do what I want to do with them.

 

There are more. For example, Around the World is a simple, but nice song about traveler's experience.

There are even some symphonic metal remakes that sound well in Nightcore, for example Elan. It has relaxed and self-indulgent feel to it.

Finally, A Demon's Fate. There is always something charming about a girl who is kept captive. This song is about it. 

Dio

 Dio used to be a vocalist for Black Sabbath, before going solo. Many of his songs are deep and insightful. Their thoughts provoking lyrics are spiced with classical metal riffs. 

Don't Talk To Strangers people argue if this song satifises or encourages overly cautious behavior. Id does encourages you to look at things outside of the box.

Holy Diver I think this song is like Dio's self confession that he is not such a scary satanic person, his music image makes him be.

Music of Red Alert and Mortal Combat

Music is very imprtant for video games. It helps to set the mood and provide a feel what the game is about. 

Just listen to these couple of tracks from Red Alert RTS. They are perfect in setting the stage for a brutal war between two Cold War Superpowers, this game is about.
